The mission of Bluebonnet Children’s Advocacy Center is to protect and enhance the quality of life for abused and neglected children in Medina, Real and Uvalde Counties.
What Bluebonnet Children’s Advocacy Center does:
Through specially trained staff and volunteers, Bluebonnet Children’s Advocacy Center provides services and support to children and families involved in the child welfare system. Victims first become familiar with Bluebonnet’s Child’s Advocacy Center or CAC program staff in the early investigative stage of alleged abuse and neglect. The CAC program has partnered with twelve (12) agencies to improve the investigative process and criminal prosecution of child abuse and neglect cases. Later, service and support is continued though the Tri-county CASA program for those children who have come into the care of Child Protective Services. Court Appointed Special Advocates or CASA volunteers provide the voice for the child during the legal process, speaking out for nearly 500 children in Medina, Uvalde and Real Counties since 2001.
Bluebonnet Children’s Advocacy Center is a Non-Profit organization.
We serve for our victims through:Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA)
Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC)
We also provide educational trainings to professionals, parents, and children.
Our Rainbow Room provides daily necessities (clothing, toiletries, etc.) to survivors of child abuse and neglect and their families.
